sorry I've been MIA

Boy that was quite the distraction....all that facebooking, iphotoing, vacationing, ituning and party planning.....well I think I am back....ready for the holiday season, friends and knitting. Leisure activities for me. Hunkering down for the winter, no pressure, no stress no obligations. I feel good! I may even put up a Christmas tree again. I want cold weather, roaring fires and knitting!!!! Maybe a soire or 2...hunting party perhaps....well see. Everything is good right now!

I am obsessed with entrelac knitting....I love it....this was supposed to be Lady Eleanor from Scarf Style, but it is clearly not going to be wide enough for a stole...so a scarf it is - I am using Sheep Shop number three in g017...I also purchased 20 balls of Noro Silk Garden lite....I am thinking about starting that too!

UGG

I have been waiting for weeks for my UGG slippers to arrive...just in time for the next deep freeze this week....yikes...estimated temps: 12 degrees farhenhite...I wear a US size 8.5...size chart said to order a 1/2 size down..so, ordered an 8....HUGE!!!!! HUGE!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't there some kind of governmental committee to organize a universal shoe sizing guide....side bar...jeans....I hate jean sizing...Whatever happened to the size 2's...and on bad days; the size 4's....Now I bring everything from a size 25 to 32 into the fitting room with me, only to leave empty handed or di-indigoed, jeanless, BLUE!!! Remind me to elaborate on my bad jeanetic pool...should I blame my mother for my abnormal jeans? I have spent tooooo much time in the fitting room trying on True Religions....I have yet to fit my body into those, all prayers aside...but now........................ shoes...yes even UGGS!!! I mean, every respectable 13 year old has atleast 1 pair of UGG boots...not too mention UGG slippers which I see donned with, are you ready? Pajamas....yes, everywhere from the grocery store to the mall to the library...young girls dressed for day in flannel pajama bottoms and UGGS (slippers and boots)!!!!!!!!! I often wonder....do their mothers know what they are wearing....only to see mom trotting along with them in the frozen food isle...wearing her UGG boots and True Religion jeans.....argh....I am boring even myself...seems I could use a little lift....hmmmm too much information....note to self...elaborate on that topic on the ABYCATGIRL PLASTIC SURGERY blog...for now...I am done bitching...I will try not to lose sleep over the 2 pieces of banana bread I ate for desert...note to self ....whole Xanax tonight....ship UGGS back tomorrow...order size 7. Better 7 as a shoe size and not a dress size.....

Worked Today

I feel like I haven't worked in such a long time....1st Christmas - Monday, Tuesday off...worked Wed, Thursday, Friday off...Then New Years, Monday...out sick Tuesday and Wednesday, Worked Thursday...off Friday, Sat, Sunday...I worked 3 days in 2 weeks...not bad...I like having bankers hours! The problem with missing work, is missing getting the work done! I am BACKLOGGED,I worked straight through the day! I am thinking about exercising. Not now but soon. I leave it at that.

2006 recap

Goodbye 2006...Hello 2007! A lot has been going in the Z world...lot's of changes at the practice...all appearing pretty positive (and profitable) so far.....more on that later... Christmas was great. Z bought me the "king Rooster" painting from our favorite gallery in Martha's Vineyard...The Grannary Gallery. New Year's Eve was a hoot..8 of us for a fondue party...:( not pictures though...just fun memories!!!! New Years Resolutions???? Can't say...still getting motivated!

A lot has been happening around here...Especially with Lenny's practice. All 4 of the midwives are history...Effective midnight tonight!!!! The transition has been a little stressful, like yesterday when one of the staff members caught SB STEALING medical supplies....Nice huh? I confronted her, and she played dumb...Then offered to purchase the items from the practice...No thanks...Nice try...You are busted...Imagine, a Certified Nurse Midwife, a.k.a a reasonable intelligent women, or so you'd think, stealing KY jelly...We will be laughing about that one for a while. SM - well she was not much better...In her effort insure that her patients follow her to her next practice, she chased them in the parking lot, made then cry, and worse yet, mismanaged their medical care....Shame on her.... Tonight CHAMPAGNE!!!!
