Abycatgirl Reads Blogs

That about sums it up. I am energized by the talented group of people affectionately referred to as Bloggers. I just ordered a copy of this and can't wait for it to arrive, although I am concerned with Jess Hutch's request to post fo's. That would mean knitting instead of reading. (check out her blog and the others on my page)
Hey, does anyone actually follow the blog rings? I find it pretty frustrating trying to find the ring links on other pages, and then I get really po'd when I am deadended by the MISSING LINK! I much prefer wandering aimlessly from blog to blog. Knitters and Crafters and writers alike! WORLDWIDE! Pretty damn cool, don't you think!

Still No Knitting:(

Yikes, no knitting again today. I am so tired of working late I could die. And no real end in site. I did get to spend the day with my good friend Maren a.k.a. Bella Bobcat Mom. She had quite the cat adventures this week. Her sweet little Lotus fell through some insulation in her attic and ended up between the walls of her bathroom. Hows that for curiosity almosting killing the cat. They actually had to cut a whole in her bathroom wall to get her out!!!!! I don't think I would have survived! Then just to top off her evening, the Bob got outside!!!!! Not to worry though, this Bob is not stupid, she knows a good den when she sees one. She just bounced around the kitchen door until they let her back in. Tonight dinner at Scoozi's in New Haven! Did anyone catch my stepson and his wife on HGTV last night? Small Space Big Style. Quite the up and coming architect!!!

Yarn Festivals

I have been blog surfing today and have noted that a lot of people were talking about the yarn festival in Rhinebeck, NY. Why is it that I am always the last one to here about these things? And always when it is too late. Can anyone tell my of an upcoming yarn festival? I would love to go to one. Hey you local knitters..we can carpool..I'll drive!

Saturday!

Not much going on here, I have been working more than usual, the office purchased a new computer system, and I have been involved in the setup and training. I must say, I do love a new computer. Thursday was Yom Kippur, and I did the good shiksa wife thing and had about 17 -18 people over to " brake the fast ". The usual fair, bagels, lox, whitefish (yuck), Lenny smoked a salmon in the backyard, which for some reason, I never even tasted. I did however, drink a whole bottle of Kosher wine, compliments of Den and Maren. Not bad for kosher wine. Len and I both lease our cars, and they are due to expire around now. In fact today we turned in the Boxster. Lenny replaced his with the Audi S4 convertible. Very hot car. Very FAST and I am jealous. I still have 1 month to go on the BMW - it's an x5 and I hate it. Actually I wasn't really thrilled with anything on the road these days, except for maybe the RangeRover, but that's a major gas guzzler. So I did the green thing and ordered a HYBRID. I am really psyched about the fact that it gets around 38mpg. That means I won't have to stop for gas as often, which I think is the worst chore around. No more driving till the light goes on as a result of my lazy ass.!!!! Imagine, an earth friendly purchase made by me! Coming from someone who doesn't even recycle ( i know, pathetic, again lazy ass). The truth is, it's a Lexus 400h. "the first luxury hybrid". Not the economical Toyata Priast (sp?) that Larry David drives. I mean a girl needs luxury don't you think. Speaking of Larry David, Lenny is his #1 fan. Larry beware of jewish stalker from CT. While we were in Martha's Vineyard, I spotted Larry at the flea market and was so disappointed that Lenny wasn't there, I casually took his picture. see that's him in the baseball hat. Just as he is on tv. The yiddish expression for his stylish look would be schlumpky. Oh well, the sun has come out, finally, so I think I will go take a nap! Any excuse to nap during the day.

Back on Track?

So as you can see I spent a lot of time posting photos. Does everyone have problems posting photos. It took me forever to upload them. I am open to advice on this subject, any tips or criticisms are welcome. (this excludes the bathing suit shots)! What the F!%k is up with the SPAM on Blogger. I got really excited to see 3 comments before I even finished uploading, only to find out it was SPAM!!! I love my computer but man it has been putting me throught the ringer lately. Recall back in January when I was so pleased to get a computer divorce from Lenny? Well, all that really meant was that I would have to be the help desk gal for not 1 but 2 computers. Make that 3, because when his desktop crashed, I had to freaking troubleshoot his laptop every 2 minutes. I mean how can he be an accomplished doctor, gynecologist none the less, or as my nephew referred to it as "VAGINOGOLOGIST", and not understand safe computer etiquette. When you open an attachment, the kind with bad jokes attached to them, you may as well be screwing a $10 hooker without a condom!!! Then as if to say "You prissy-assed, safety comes first, computer know-it-all - take that!" BAM!! I turn my computer on and I quote "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \windows\system32\config\system". So much for safe surfing my friends. after 2 hours on the phone with Dell support - locale the Philipines - I had to reboot my computer, completely! It was like I just took it out of the box. AAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!! Note to self: Back up computer!

Had Enough? Me Too!!!

Did somebody say tomato?

So needless to say Lenny has planted too many tomato plants! Check out the dates on these pix. I can't wait for the first frost. This is the view from the window by my desk. That's one happy tomato farmer I can tell you! Here he is in September. Looking quite like a tomato himself. I think he is being taken hostage by the tomato vines.
Just one of the many beautiful sunsets on the pond. I love New England!
We had some great beach days - Jack, Scott, Eric and Ford Molly and Ford playing in "the cut" Daily pond ferry over to the ocean side!
Jack, our surfer dude! Brett and Ben "Getting Retarded" Eric and Jack " Shake it up Baby! Lenny was our Master of Ceremonies! Quite the host I must say, intros and jokes! (check out that stage curtain!) The Zamore Girls roasted the guys in song.... Think WKRP in Cincinnati - "Baby if you've ever wondered, wondered what every I'm doing with him.....

Ok, so here are those pix from our family vacation I said I was posting almost a month ago. (pathetic) We held our 1st annual Martha's Vineyard Talent Show. It was a hoot! I, of course, got overly obsessed with details, like spending a small fortune on ivory, orange and blue silk to make a stage curtain. I want to remind you that we don't have electricty at the island house we rent, but we did have a $300 silk stage curtain!!
